7 Great Ideas For Your Hen Party Weekend

Of course there was a time when a hen night was just that. A night when the bride-to-be would meet up with her girl friends for a drink or two to celebrate her last night of freedom.

But the traditional hen night has evolved into a party which can last a weekend or even a week.

So if you are about to plan a hen party, check out these 7 different ideas:

1. Pampering Spa

If you have spent the past months planning your wedding, you are probably more than ready for some serious pampering and relaxation.

So what could be better than a visit to a spa? This is a quiet and relaxing environment where you can enjoy whirlpool baths, saunas, and steam rooms, and treatments for the body and face, not forgetting the hands and feet.

2. Learn To Dance Weekend

Learn to dance hen parties are just about having fun.

So whether you choose pole dancing, salsa, line dancing, rock ‘n roll, or even something a bit cheeky like burlesque dancing, you can be sure everyone, young and old will have a great time.

3. Learn To Cook Weekend

Why not combine having fun with picking up some really valuable skills? You can do this with a learn to cook weekend.

During the day you can learn the basics of baking bread, and making sweet treats like cup-cakes, fruit pies, cookies and the fantastic whoopie pies.

After a fun day in the kitchen you are invited to enjoy your evening with a relaxing dinner and a glass of wine.

4. Shopping Weekend

If you are planning to have a shopping weekend hen party, then why not choose to hold it in one of the most exciting cities in the world?

New York!

There’s not a minute to lose when you’re in New York, so drop off your bags and hit the shops. Head for 5th Avenue. Unbelievable shopping!

And when you’re all shopped out don’t forget to check out some of the wonderful sights. ‘The Sex In The City’ tour is a must.

The tour takes about 3 hours and takes in some of New York’s top venues. And even if you’re not a big fan of Sex and the city, this is a great way to see the sights of Manhattan.

5. Quad Bikes

So if you are looking for something a little more adventurous, and you don’t mind jumping down into muddy puddles then quad biking could be right up your street.

This is a great fun activity, especially for a group. Venues vary. Some terrains are quite gentle, but for the not so faint hearted there are some courses which are a tad more challenging. In fact, they are almost mountainous.

But these off-roaders are great fun and you can soon become addicted. If you’re new to quad biking don’t worry. You will be given full instructions (and a helmet).

Oh, and you will need your driving license to take part in this activity.

6. City Break

There are plenty of cities that have become very popular for hen parties. Especially in Europe.

Cities such as Barcelona offer everything you ever want for a lively fun filled weekend. Beautiful golden beaches, great weather, great restaurants, beach bars and nightlife that goes on all night.

So if you want wall to wall fun consider a city break for your hen weekend.

7. Weekend In A Country Retreat

For the ultimate in sophistication, what could be better than a whole weekend in a beautiful country house with your very best friends?

Imagine a manor house with sumptuous sofas, magnificent scenery, great country walks and horse riding nearby.

When you arrive you will find a lovely hamper filled with luxury goodies, including wine.

For your last weekend as a single girl enjoy catching up with your friends in the pure luxury and decadence of a country retreat.

These are just a few suggestions you might like to consider for your hen weekend. But whatever you choose to do with your last weekend of freedom, make sure you enjoy it. You won’t have another one!

So till next time
Take care
