7 Ways To Accessorize Your Wedding Dress

Now that you’ve found your perfect wedding gown, it’s time to look for those all important accessories to finish your look. So take a look at these 7 ways to accessorise you wedding dress:

1. Choosing A Headpiece

Many brides still like to wear the traditional veil as their chosen headpiece on their wedding day. But if you’re not sure a veil is for you, it’s worth considering other options before you make your final choice.

And if you’ve always thought how wonderful it would be to wear a jewel encrusted tiara, this is your chance.

But if your hairstyle demands something more simple, how about a fascinator, or jewelled hair-slides or combs? Or you could even wear flowers in your hair.

2. Choosing Shoes

When you are deciding on which shoes to wear on your wedding day, there are a few things you should bear in mind. It’s going to be a long day, so comfort is as important as style.

They need to match your dress, and make sure the heel height doesn’t mean you tower over your groom.

3. Wearing A Garter

Although the tradition of the groom tossing the bride’s garter is a bit outdated, most brides still like to wear a garter on their wedding day.

And if you choose a blue garter, you can cover the ‘something blue’. And you will have another lovely memento of your day.

4. What Bag To Carry

A bag is a must on your wedding day. You will need to carry a few bits and pieces with you, like tissues or lipstick, and you may collect bits during the day.

So choose a small clutch or a satin or lace silk drawstring purse. And if needs be, you can easily decorate your bag to compliment your dress.

5. Which Jewellery To Wear

The jewellery you choose to wear on your wedding day is a very personal thing, and of course what you choose will depend on your hairstyle and the style of your dress.

If your dress is quite intricate why not opt for a single string of pearls around your neck and pearl studs in your ears?

6. Wrap Or Stole

A beautiful stole around your shoulders will definitely add a touch of elegance to your wedding outfit and will be a great addition to your wedding outfit. especially if you are planning a fall or winter wedding.

Imagine how good it would look if you and your bridesmaids were wearing a faux-fur stole. Great for the outdoor photographs!

7. Wear A Sash And A Corsage

Wearing a satin sash in a contrasting colour around your waist adds extra interest to your dress.

You may like to choose a sash that is decorated with diamante or a more simple style that will match the colour of your bridesmaid’s dresses.

Also adding a matching corsage or brooch to your dress on the hip will finish your look.

So with all these gorgeous accessories to compliment your wedding gown, you can be certain you will look every inch the perfect bride.

So till next time
Take care
